G. Love & Special Sauce

My last show for the weekend was a personal favorite, G. Love and Special Sauce. I’ve been going to G. Love shows for a long time now and he never is one to disappoint. Even though he shared a set time a festival favorite, The Flaming Lips, he still drew a huge crowd that was ready to get down.
He played an awesome set of some old songs, new songs, even covered a bit of Dr. John in the beginning of Cold Beverage. Local Alabama singer, Kristy Lee, joined him on stage with a fun version of “Holla”. She has a killer, soulful voice. I would love to see her perform a solo set, she was great. Always a good show, per usual. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of going to G. Love shows.
