Heartless Bastards

Heartless Bastards played on the Letting Go Stage, which is quickly becoming my favorite stage here at Hangout. It’s small enough where you can get right up front, but still packs a good crowd.
Front woman Erika Wennerstrom absolutely kills it vocally with her powerful, bluesy voice. They had the crowd grooving the whole time to their sweet southern rock sound. Fans were chilling, sprawled out on blankets getting some sun. Their awesome sound drew in festival goers passing by the stage and the crowd kept growing throughout the set.
Their latest album, “Arrow” was recorded in Austin, which is very fitting with the band’s southern rock sound. “Parted Ways” is one of my favorites on Arrow. I was looking forward to checking Heartless Bastards out, I’m always a fan of powerful female vocals. They did not disappoint.
